Wenatchee Synchro will launch in January 2023 starting out as an 8-week class that will teach skaters the various skating elements used in synchronized skating and give them a taste for what it’s like to skate as a team. Sign up, try it out and see what you think.
If you need to jump into the class late, ask about prorating into the class.
The goal at the end of the 8 weeks is to form a competitive Open-Juvenile Level synchronized skating team for skaters ranging 12-19 years old. This team of skaters will perform and compete at various area events and competitions representing Wenatchee Figure Skating Club in 2023.
*there is also potential for lower level synchro teams to be formed as well, it all depends on who is interested in joining*
What is synchro?
Synchronized skating involves a team of 8 or more skaters, skating maneuvers and formations to music of the team’s choice. Synchronized refers to the importance of unison, the accuracy of formations and the synchronization of the team. A well-balanced program contains maneuvers such as circles, lines, blocks, wheels, and intersections linked together harmoniously by a variety of transitions.
