Used skates: Locally, Karen Bumgarner (listed in the Shop section below) sells used skates. You can also search for local used figure skates on the WFSC Buy/Sell Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/544588591038954/), local Facebook Marketplace or look for a US Facebook group that sells used figure skating gear.
New skates: There are no local new skate sellers in Wenatchee. Skates can be purchased at several stores located in the Shop section below.
Wipe off your blades and use cloth "soakers" to cover your blades in your skate bag so that the blades do not scratch or nick. Blade/hard guards are used to protect your blades when you are walking around the rink. Don't store your blades with hard guards on; the moisture trapped in the guard will cause your blade to rust. Soakers and guards can be purchased online.
"Air out" your skates to prevent mildew and prolong the life of the padding inside the skate. Don't leave skates in a hot car for extended periods of time.
Blades should be sharpened about every 40 hours of ice time. Skaters need to take their skates to be sharpened by someone that specializes in sharpening figure skates. Coach Paul Kapeikis can do it locally.

My daughters favorites have been the Bloch because they are very soft, but the following are types she's used. Available at most figure skating stores, Amazon, etc.
Bloch Tights: https://a.co/d/7k1rSvC
Mondor Tights: https://a.co/d/aRWZxig
ChloeNoel Youht Tight: https://a.co/d/0nBXPff
Used to keep laces tucked into the skate and looking nice. Recommended for skating shows/competitions. Optional for practices.
My daughter liked the Mondor brand the best. She thought they didn't run as badly.
CRS Socks: https://a.co/d/1D87rnZ

Everything else, this is all examples. There are lots of options available.

Soaker & Towel set: https://a.co/d/eyCEEpm
Soft Gaurds: https://a.co/d/3MwnPaa -- these held up well, just outgrew
ChloeNoel Soakers: https://a.co/d/7h4ZbJ4
** Microfiber towels are best for drying blades.
Spinner (cheap): https://a.co/d/eAExOMl
* the cheaper spinners are all the same, just different labels/colors
Edea Spinners: https://a.co/d/5bDPvKl or https://a.co/d/fXsAFTC
DONT get the CRS spinner (https://a.co/d/2Rzem4V). It doesn't work well for figure skaters. Spins too fast/freely.
Jackson Laces: https://a.co/d/5mFFAoC
I was told the Elite brand laces do not hold up well.

On Google play (and maybe apple), there is an app called Moves in the Field. The icon says MITF with a blue background. This is great if your skater need a little extra coaching between lessons on what they are doing.
